Office Safes Ireland

Choosing an office safe

The questions that matter in a workplace differ from the home. Who needs access, how often, and what happens when that person leaves? An electronic lock you can recode in thirty seconds is worth far more in an office than a key that quietly gets copied.

Cash on the premises

If takings sit on site overnight your insurer will normally specify a cash rating. Match or exceed it rather than guessing. Where staff need to drop cash through the day without opening the safe, a deposit safe is the safer arrangement.

Paper records and GDPR

Personnel files, payroll and customer records held on paper still carry obligations under GDPR, and a locked press in an open office is a weak control. Fireproof filing cabinets give you access control and fire protection for records you are required to retain.

Backups and digital media

Server backups, tapes and drives need a data safe rather than a paper rated fire safe, because the temperature threshold for media is far lower.
